Also known as Express Learning, Blended Learning or eLearning (online lessons blended with hands-on skills sessions) has a combination of both virtual learning (Part 1) and in-person skills training (Part 2).

American Heart Association eLearning program certification is equivalent to a regular 100% classroom training and the same card is issued at completion of the course for both Class Room and eLearning courses.

Part 1: American Heart Association online course
Students will receive an email with access to the coursework hosted on the American Heart Association website, allowing them to progress at their own pace. After completing all modules, students print their course completion certificate to present to their instructor for Part 2. While Part 1 typically takes about 2 hours, students can tackle it in smaller sections over multiple days if desired.

Part 2: Hands-on skills practice session with an Authorized AHA Instructor
During this session, students demonstrate essential skills such as Compressions, Breathing Techniques, and AED operation in a simulated rescue scenario. Proficiency in these skills is evaluated for Adults, Children, and Infants, and choking relief techniques are also practiced. The duration of Part 2 ranges from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the class type and student experience.

***The course is considered complete once both Part 1 and Part 2 have been finished
